Tommy Lee Jones is mourning the death of his daughter, Victoria Jones, after she was reportedly found dead in a hotel room at the age of 34.

Us Weekly can confirm Victoria was found dead inside the luxury Fairmont San Francisco in the early hours of New Year’s Day. Her official cause of death has not been determined.

The San Francisco Fire Department revealed to Us that officials responded to the hotel’s address for “a report of a medical emergency” at 2:52 a.m. on January 1, 2026.

“Upon arrival, paramedics from the fire department performed an assessment. The person was declared deceased,” the statement to Us read. “SFPD and the medical examiner’s office were called to the scene. Scene turned over to SFPD and SF Medical Examiners.”

A spokesperson for the San Francisco Police Department also confirmed to Us that their officers responded to the hotel regarding a report of a deceased person. At the scene, officers met with paramedics, who declared the adult female deceased.

Victoria worked as an actress in her Oscar-winning father’s movies when she was a teenager, before going on to explore TV.

After making her big-screen debut in 2002 when Men in Black II premiered, Victoria made an extended cameo in season 3 of One Tree Hill. During a 2005 episode titled “Locked Hearts and Hand Grenades,” she portrayed a high school cheerleader.

What Is Victoria Jones’ Cause of Death? 

Local San Francisco police officers received an emergency call for a “code 3 for the overdose, color change,” according to dispatch audio obtained by TMZ.

The medical examiner later arrived on scene and conducted an investigation. NBC Bay Area reported on January 1, 2026, that “no foul play” was suspected.

On February 17, 2026, the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in San Francisco, California, confirmed to Us that Victoria Jones died due to “toxic effects of cocaine” and ruled the manner of her death as an “accident.”

According to TMZ, Victoria was discovered inside the Fairmont San Francisco. According to the hotel’s website, the property is “renowned for offering the best panoramic views in the city.” The luxury hotel is also “celebrated for its impeccable service.”

“We are deeply saddened by an incident that occurred at the hotel on January 1, 2026,” a spokesperson for Fairmont San Francisco said in a statement to Us. “Our heartfelt condolences are with the family and loved ones during this very difficult time. The hotel team is actively cooperating and supporting police authorities within the framework of the ongoing investigation.”

Does Tommy Lee Jones Have Other Children?

During his marriage to Kimberlea Cloughley, Tommy Lee welcomed a son named Austin in November 1982.

The couple’s eldest child followed in his famous father’s footsteps in Hollywood as both an actor and a composer.

In September 1991, Tommy Lee became a father once again when Cloughley welcomed Victoria.

“She’s a good actress, has her SAG card, speaks impeccable Spanish,” Tommy previously told The New Yorker in 2006. “When she was a baby, I told Leticia, her nurse, to speak to her in Spanish.”
